Every time I tell someone I’m doing this 90 day reboot or 30 day alcohol cleanse (day 1 of 30 btw) I keep getting: “um… why?” Or “but you don’t need to lose weight” or “haha good luck with that”…… insert major eye roll here. I really want to spring back with “THIS ISN’T FOR YOU ITS FOR ME AND I DON’T CARE ABOUT YOUR OPINIONS!”, but I don’t. I just smile and don’t respond.
Everyone is going to have an opinion about your life choices whether you like it or not, and I’m learning that more and more every day. This is something I’m truly EXCITED about and I want to share it with my friends and loved ones without them looking at me like I’m crazy. Yes, I know I’m not typically ‘overweight’.. but this is the heaviest I have weighed in my entire life. I’m not eating right and I’m not working out the way I used to. So you know what this is really about? Finding that love and passion again to care for my body. Not only what I’m putting in it, but what I can do in return for everything that it does for me.
The starting point
Now for the fun part. Remember my wellness log that I purchased specifically for this project to keep me on track? This is where that comes in!!

Here we have my starting measurements and weight. This is something that I will be logging monthly, not weekly. Initially I thought about doing this weekly but will probably end up disappointed since it can fluctuate so much from week to week. I will, however, be weighing myself every Sunday morning and updating that here!
- Starting weight: 137.4
- Chest: 33.75 in
- Waist: 28.5 in
- Hips: 36.25 in
- Bicep: 11.25 in
- Thigh: 23.5 in
- Body fat %: 26.69

This technically puts me in the “average range” for my age group which is not bad, but not where I want to be. My goal is to be in the lower end of fit or higher end of slim (athletic) range.

Now for the hardest part.. before pictures.

The best way to track progress is with pictures, right? Please excuse all the mosquito bites.. I do live in the south after all! This one was a hard pill to swallow for me. But I absolutely cannot wait to compare pictures when all of this is over with!
Today’s recap:
We decided to sleep later than usual this morning so we didn’t have breakfast. Instead we skipped straight to lunch.

I’m not a foodie photographer so I know how horrible these pictures are. For lunch I had a small piece of veal (not pictured because I was so hungry that I scarfed it down before remembering to take a pic) and mashed cauliflower. I was extremely hesitant about the mashed cauliflower because well… it’s cauliflower lol. But to my surprise, IT WAS SO GOOD!

We did some work in the backyard after lunch and by the time we were finished I was starving! So I had some wasabi soy sauce flavored almonds with the rest of my left over mashed cauliflower for a snack.

Zac and I decided to eat dinner really early tonight since we were both starving from working in the backyard. We’ve been trying out HelloFresh and so far, we love it! On the menu tonight: Tuscan pork stuffed peppers with pearled couscous and melted mozzarella cheese… omg… this was SO GOOD!!!! I ended up topping it with some Green Goddess dressing from Trader Joe’s because it’s my absolute fav and I’m a sauce girl. I enjoyed this so so so much!

For a snack after my evening walk I was feeling really hungry (probably because I’m lowering my carb intake) so I made two scrambled cheesy eggs, 1 meatless breakfast patty from Trader Joe’s and, drumroll please, a pickle!
See you on day 2!
